Whether Big and Bold or Light and Wispy, Here’s Everything You Need for Hybrid Lashes!

Before diving into the supplies you need, let’s clarify what hybrid lashes are. Hybrid lashes are a combination of classic and volume lashes, typically in a 50/50 ratio. However, the ratio can vary based on the desired look and your client’s natural lashes. This flexibility allows you to create a wide range of styles, from soft and natural to bold and dramatic

    Which Lashes You Need

There are numerous ways to approach hybrid lashes, so we'll break it down to keep things simple and manageable.

Start with the basics: use 0.15 classic lashes and 0.07 volume lashes to create fans up to 5D. For a more subtle look, you can opt for 0.10 lashes for both your classic lashes, and 2D fans. On the other hand, if you’re aiming for a bolder appearance, use 0.05 lashes in fans up to 9D and pair them with flat lashes in 0.20.

DID YOU KNOW: Flat lashes are crafted by fusing two finer lashes together. This gives them the appearance of thicker classic lashes while weighing about half as much, allowing you to create bold looks without compromising your clients’ lash health!

    Choosing the Right Glue

If you’ve found a lash adhesive that you love, feel free to use it for hybrid lashes. However, if you’re new to volume lashes, you may notice that they take a bit longer to apply than classic lashes. To accommodate this, consider using a slower-curing adhesive for the volume lashes in your set. Alternatively, you can adjust the humidity—raising it while applying classic lashes and lowering it for volume fans—to optimize the curing process.

TOP TIP: When applying a hybrid lash set, start by applying the classic lashes. Then, use a piece of tape to hold them back while you apply your volume fans. This technique helps you achieve even coverage and minimizes the risk of lash extensions sticking together.

    Selecting Your Tweezers

If you’re already working with hybrid lashes, you likely have tweezers that work well for both classic and volume applications. If not, consider checking out our classic lash tweezers and volume lash tweezers.

A good investment is a pair of multifunctional tweezers, which are versatile enough to assist with both classic lashes and quick 2D fan creation. These tweezers are also ideal for working with easy fan lashes, premade fans, or short lashes, thanks to their fine tips that provide precision during application.

    Additional Essentials

To ensure your lash sets last and keep your clients’ lashes healthy, consider incorporating lash prep products like lash cleanser and primer into your routine. These not only enhance the longevity of the lash extensions but also demonstrate your commitment to providing a premium experience.

It’s also wise to have lash remover on hand for any necessary removals. Cream remover is ideal for taking off entire sets, while gel remover works best for spot removal during fills.

No lash extension kit is complete without tape and eyepatches to protect the bottom lashes during application.

If you prefer an all-in-one solution, consider our curated kit, which includes a selection of lashes and products for both classic and volume lashes. It's the perfect starter set for mastering hybrid lashes!
