Business Tips for A Schedule as Full as A Mega Volume Lash Set!

If you’re a newly certified lash tech ready to take on paying clients, the big question is this: how do you start attracting them? You may have practised on friends and family while perfecting your skills, but now it’s time to build a real, paying client base. Here’s how you can get more clients and grow your lash business.

    Tap Into Word of Mouth

Word of mouth can be a game-changer for growing any business. If you’ve been offering free or discounted services to friends and family during your training, now’s the time to ask for their help in spreading the word. Personal recommendations can lead to new bookings and get your business off the ground.
However, while word of mouth is valuable, it shouldn’t be your only strategy. Let’s explore other ways to attract clients.

    Boost Your Social Media Presence

Social media is one of the most effective tools for promoting your lash business. Keep your profiles updated with high-quality photos, videos, and posts showcasing your work. Engaging content allows potential clients to see what you offer and encourages them to reach out for bookings.

Utilise stories to show existing and potential clients behind the scenes, to advertise services, and to start conversations. Stories are a great way of staying on your followers’ feeds and conveying important updates without interrupting the look of your profile grid.

Consistent posting and eye-catching posts can be the key to a steady stream of new clients.

    Encourage Positive Reviews

Good reviews help build trust and are an essential part of your marketing strategy. Make sure there’s a platform where clients can leave feedback. Facebook is a user-friendly option, where clients can leave recommendations instead of star ratings, allowing them to explain why they’d refer others to your services.

Another crucial tool is Google Business. It’s easy to set up, lets people find you more easily, and allows clients to leave Google reviews. Positive reviews here are especially influential in attracting new clients.

In the long run, consider setting up a website where clients can view your portfolio, book appointments, and leave reviews all in one place. Though maintaining a website requires more effort, it helps centralise your online presence.

    Respond Quickly to Inquiries

Timely responses can make or break a booking; the speed and quality of your replies matter. To ensure potential clients aren’t left waiting, set up automated responses to acknowledge their message and let them know when to expect a reply.

Create a schedule for checking and replying to inquiries throughout the day. For example, set aside 30 minutes each morning and a few 15-minute slots during the day to stay on top of messages. But be sure to respect your work-life balance by limiting replies to business hours.

    Offer Introductory Deals

Introductory offers can be a great way to win over hesitant clients. If you’re not sure what sort of thing you could offer, here are some ideas for attracting new clients:

    • Discount on Services: Offer a discount for new clients, and to encourage repeat bookings, extend it to their next visit. For instance, give 25% off when booking a full set and an infill.
    • Introductory Discounts: During your first few months, offer a special discount, making it clear that it’s a limited-time offer.
    • Referral Discounts: Encourage referrals by offering discounts for both the referrer and the new client—something like 10€ off for each client when a friend is referred.
    • Free Gift Offers: A free aftercare bundle with a full lash set can entice bookings and lead to future sales when clients need to replenish their supplies.

Attracting a steady flow of clients takes time, but with these strategies—word of mouth, social media, reviews, prompt replies, and special offers—you’ll build a strong client base and keep your appointment book full!
