PREMADE FANS ARE BACK. LET'S TALK ABOUT THEM.

Lash Artists, stop what you're doing! You heard it here first - Premade Fans are back. Only this time, they're a little different, that's right we've upgraded from our previous collection of premade fans. We took our previous collection back to our lash lab and after a lot of brainstorming, testing and more testing, we created the new and improved London Lash Mayfair Premade Fans. Let's take a moment to inform you on what's so great about them.

WHAT ARE PREMADE FANS MADE OF?

After a lot of thought, we chose to manufacture our new Premade Fans from the same fibre as our beloved Mayfair Lashes, hence the name. One of the main reasons for this was, we wanted our loyal customers to work with a premade fan which was familiar in quality and feel so that it's easy to use.

But, for those not familiar with our Mayfair lash fibres, they're made from a synthetic, hypoallergenic fibre called PBT, it is amazingly durable, water and heat resistant and vegan.

HOW ARE PREMADE FANS MADE, IF NOT BY HAND?

Simply put, they are. We have teamed up with our amazing manufacturers who work very closely with our product development team to create the best possible premade fans based on our ideas and designs. These lash extensions are handmade so they have a stunning slim, pinched base - even on fans as large as 6D. The slimness of the base reduces the chances of stickies (something you can often experience with wide fan bases).

WHAT IS SO GOOD ABOUT THEM?

What isn't good about these lash extensions is the question? We cannot think of many bad things. Not only do they look as perfect as handmade fans but they will speed up your lashing treatments considerably. The Mayfair premade fans are safe to use on every client and they will give you the freedom to charge a little bit extra per treatment for a luxurious lash product.

Of course, you may be wondering what one downside may be, well these premade fans cost slightly more per premade fan than if you were to make your own handmade fans. However, when you consider that you can fit more clients as these fans are already premade, the time you save using these lash extensions will made up for the energy and effort it may take you creating your own handmade fans.

    HOW DO YOU USE THEM?

Using premade fans is pretty simple. Similarly to working with volume fans, it is easiest to use your Volume Tweezers. Attaching the fan to the natural lash is the exact same process to your handmade fan, even when dipping into the glue. There isn't a unique or difficult technique to using premade fans, we've made as simple as possible.

One difference is that we have changed the way these fans sit on the strip. As the base is slimmer, we have changed the way you would pick up the premade fan from the strip compared to our old design. Here's our advice:

    • Pick up the fans from the base and put them back down on the strip a little flatter.
    • Pick the fan back up from the middle of the body like you’d pick up a handmade fan.
    • Dip the fan in eyelash adhesive as normal and place it on the lash.

WHAT GLUE SHOULD YOU USE WITH PREMADE FANS?

Any glue from our London Lash Glue Collection is perfectly suitable to use. You can use which ever one works best for you. But, do not forget, these are much quicker to place than handmade fans, so you may need a slightly quicker glue than what you've used before. Our suggestion would be to try using your usual glue and if you feel comfortable enough to work a little faster, why not Sample a faster glue. Do not rush though, we don't encourage you to move up to a fast drying glue if you're not ready or comfortable, simply, we suggest you try something which may benefit you in the long run.

If you don’t yet have a favourite glue, check out our Glue Chart for some suggestions about which glue(s) might suit you best!
