What's the Difference Between London Lash Glues?

Visit any website specialising in eyelash extension supplies and you’ll encounter a variety of at least three different lash glue liquids. This diversity exists because Lash Technicians have unique preferences for texture, work under varying room conditions, possess different skill levels and consider multiple factors when choosing an adhesive. While personal recommendations are valuable, there is no universal glue that suits everyone. Therefore, it is beneficial to understand the specific characteristics of each glue option so you can make an informed decision based on your requirements.

Satin Bond

With a two-second drying time and a satin texture, Satin Bond is an ideal choice for beginner Lash Techs or anyone who needs a slower-drying adhesive in high humidity. Satin Bond has a medium viscosity, which makes it easy to pick up the correct amount when dipping a lash extension or Volume fan.

Like the majority of other lash glues in the London Lash store, Satin Bond works best at temperatures between 18–22°C and humidity levels between 50–65%. If your humidity is higher than this, any glue you use is likely to cure more quickly than advertised, so it may be worth looking into a dehumidifier.

Lady Bond

Lady Bond has been part of the London Lash collection since the beginning and has been a favourite of Lash Techs worldwide. With a 1–2 second drying time, Lady Bond is suitable for Lash Techs of all levels and is included in our Classic Kit and Volume Kit.

Lady Bond has a runnier texture than Satin Bond, making it easy to pick up the correct amount of lash glue. Like Satin Bond, Lady Bond performs best at humidity levels between 50–65% and temperatures between 18–22°C.

Crystal Bond

Crystal Bond is London Lash’s only clear lash glue. Its characteristics are almost identical to Lady Bond, although it can be slightly trickier for beginners because it is harder to see whether you have picked up the correct amount of glue.

Because Crystal Bond is clear, it is an ideal choice when using Coloured Lashes or Black-Brown extensions, as it creates a seamless glue bond. It can also be used with regular black lashes if you prefer to work with one adhesive. Read more about Crystal Bond in our comprehensive blog post.

Flexie

Flexie became a fast favourite for many Lash Artists after it launched in 2018 and has remained one of our best-selling glues. Flexie has a one-second drying time but works consistently across a wider range of humidity levels than some other adhesives, making it useful for Lash Techs working in changeable conditions.

Flexie’s rapid drying time makes it suitable for advanced Lash Technicians who are comfortable placing lashes without needing to make corrections. We do not typically recommend Flexie for Lash Techs with less than two years of experience, although every Tech is different.

Flexie works best at temperatures between 18–22°C and maintains a consistent drying time in humidity levels between 40–70%.

Power Bond

Similar to Lady Bond, Power Bond has been part of the London Lash collection since the beginning. It is a very fast-drying glue, curing in 0.5–1 second after dipping. It is intended for experienced Lash Techs who can maintain consistent placement speeds and carefully monitor temperature and humidity.

Power Bond works best at temperatures between 18–22°C and humidity levels between 50–65%. A Digital Hygrometer can help you monitor and maintain your room conditions.

Royal Bond

This is one of the newer additions to our glue collection. Royal Bond maintains a 0.5–1 second drying time across humidity levels between 30–80%, which is a much wider range than many other adhesives.

If you experience significant changes in humidity throughout the day, Royal Bond may be a suitable choice because it can maintain consistent performance across those conditions. If humidity rises significantly, faster-drying adhesives such as Power Bond may cure too quickly. In that situation, you may prefer to have another glue available, such as Lady Bond or Flexie.

Swift Bond

Swift Bond is the fastest and strongest adhesive in the London Lash collection, created especially for advanced Lash Technicians who thrive on speed and precision. With an extremely fast 0.5-second drying time, this lash glue delivers quick attachment and long-lasting retention.

Swift Bond performs consistently in humidity levels between 40–85%, making it ideal for salons where conditions fluctuate. With a thin, syrup-like consistency, Swift Bond allows for smooth application across different lash styles. This strong adhesive is not suitable for beginners or intermediate Lash Technicians who have performed fewer than 1,000–1,500 sets.

It works best at room temperatures of 18–22°C. Swift Bond may be suitable for experienced artists looking for speed, strength and stability in one bottle.

Ultimately, the glue you choose is a personal decision. Consider your room conditions, placement speed and experience level before purchasing a full-sized bottle. We have glue samples available if you want to try different adhesives before making a commitment.
